We stayed in a Barn. It was very cool!
To get to the barn, our hostess drove us and our luggage in her 4x4 down a steep dirt road and through part of the river. Mom and Dad walked across the swing bridge because there was no room for them in the 4x4!
The barn looked like a regular barn. The bottom floor had a bathroom, swinging basket chair and, my favourite- a dart board with darts. Upstairs, there were 2 bedrooms, a mini kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace. There were board games and I learned a new game called Ludo. It is now one of my new favourite games. With the fire on, the barn was really cozy.
This barn was big and was on a farm with chickens. I fed wild eels in the river and looked for chicken eggs in the coop. At night, we saw glow worms in the bushes.
Next to the barn, there was a tree that was made into Winnie-the-Pooh's home. It had a real door and we could walk right into the trunk of the tree. Once inside the tree, when we looked up we could see the sky. It was like a big telescope!
We were served a yummy breakfast of freshly baked croissants, homemade blueberry jam, yogurt, fruit salad and homemade muesli (granola). We also had fresh eggs from the hens on the farm.
I had so much fun at the Barn!
