On our last day in Kyoto, we went to see wild Japanese snow monkeys at the top of Mount Iwatayama.
There were over 100 wild monkeys! We watched them play around and saw some little ones that we nicknamed "super monkeys" because they were very acrobatic. One little monkey played a game with the bigger monkeys and the little monkey lost.
There was a small resthouse where we could buy food (bananas and peanuts) and feed the monkeys. We were supervised by park rangers and protected inside the building. The monkeys were violent with each other trying to be the first to get the food. It was very funny to watch!!
